How long do brake pads last?
It depends far more on how and where you drive than on kilometres. City stop-and-go wears pads much faster than highway driving. We measure what is left rather than guess.
Do rotors always have to be replaced with the pads?
No. Rotors get replaced when they are worn past spec or warped, not automatically. If yours have life left, we say so.
Is grinding safe to drive on for a bit?
No. Grinding means the friction material is gone and the backing plate is cutting into the rotor. It gets more expensive every day and stopping distances suffer. Call us.
